Wake up every morning, smile, stretch and say "Good Morning!" Be happy and always live up to your name. That means I have to seem hopeful all the time even when things around seem bleak and hopeless(: So... I'm happy and full of Hope! Moreover, when you're happy, people around you are too, when you're feeling down, you'll spread no joy.
Happy stuff: Yesterday, we had our NUS talk thing at Suntec; for girls only:) It was all about women in engineering and other really enlightening stuff. It was pretty fun-the FOOD was great! I really loved the chocolate eclairs! I've decided to be an expert eclaire maker by the end of the year! Only Princess Amie,Princess Nanki and I had gone from our school. Both of them had been assigned the same group, mine was with 3 other girls from Tamasek JC. We had pretty much fun-and one of the TJC girl who I was talking most to all the way turned out to be an IJ girl too! That's why we say-IJ girls click instantly:))
One of the lecturers mentioned that women usually make better engineers than men because we are more creative, we see things in a wider scope and in different ways than men(: We think of things men would never think of. Perhaps that's why the inventors of Disposable diapers and Dishwashers were both Females! Men wouldn't think of inventing dishwashers because that doesn't directly improve their lives and is more advantageous and applicable for women instead.
After it all ended, we met up with Dove sweets-whom we took 1hr10mins to find! Because neither Dove nor the rest of us had the patience to keep still so we kept losing each other! We also had confusion with each other's directions like Dove told us "I'm at the Galleria" and when we went there, she was actually at Convention centre. It was all funny "THE QUEST FOR DOVEN!" In total-we had gone to every corner of Suntec-Towers 1 to 5, the mall, the Galleria and everything! When we finally met, I only had time to hug,say hello and goodbye since I had shopping date with Mum at 6.15! I reached really late at 6.45, the place was really packed I NEEDED OXYGEN! It was the weekends:)
(P.S Why didn't I know that the Thumbdrive was invented in Singapore in early 2000? OH MAN!)

Less than two weeks to promos now, one day to the end of term 3. Procrastination is equivalent to slow poison((: Olympics are over-all the Volley games was awesome! We had geography field trip on Tuesday morning which I had totally forgotten about! We went to the sort of jungle area where mediacorp maybe relocating to in a few years time? So, it was a field trip for rock study in order to complete our latest tutorial on rock types and weathering. It was really hot in the morning, plus the grasses there were really tall-full of creepy crawlies like crickets, spiders, billbugs, skippers, dragonflies and many other weird looking insects! The layers of grass were so thick, and there were huge visible spider webs on them! The rocks we went to study there were pretty huge-some were densely covered by grasses which Miss Hong said are creepers because they grow almost everywhere they find suitable growing conditions:) We got to choose one rock to study in pairs or threes:) Ok the scary part was that there were many hollow openings aka holes in the greensward-which we couldn't see because they were covered by grass:therefore, we had to hold hands and walk really slow and cautiously to avoid getting stuck in the ground. Unfortunately, Cherie tripped and her feet got stuck in one-we both screamed so loud and I quickly pulled her out phew! After all the observing,we decided that the one we had chosen was an Igneous rock type, and was a Granite. Certain parts of the rock were pretty dark coloured so it was Basaltic.Right after that, I stepped into one! It was terror with those bugs-I just kept saing "Thank God lizards don't breed here!" It was pretty fun overall though:)
A rainbow is God's smile:))
Later on, we had some emergency fire evacuation exercise in school so we had missed one period of math. The execution felt really different from those we had in STC. While the teachers were busy settling things, we were awed by this really pretty rainbow!

When God created us, he gave us two ends,
One to sit on and one to think with.
Sucess depends upon which end we most use,
Heads we win, and tails we lose.

I am not in the mood to blog about raksha bandhan, I reckon Asha will do that part. I had my O level English oral today. I feel that I did not use my full potential as I was quite nervous. I could have given better response and shown more initiative in the conversation, which as somewhat a simple topic. Looking back, I'd have had a lot to say if I hadn't been nervous. Really a lot of views. The conversation topic was, "What is your favourite subject?", and I suppose 2 or 3 other questions or prompts. Like, what would you do if you had to plan your school timetable. I did alright, but as I said, could have really done a lot better. Fotunately I gave a hint of diplomatic answers, such as talking about how humanities and sciences are important in preparing students for entering the external world and broadening our perspectives. I wonder if I will manage to get a score above 33 and do better than the preliminary oral! I HOPE I DO. The picture conversation was a photo which showed some students clustered at a lab bench in a school's science lab. I could have interpreted better. Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk. I will work my way towards securing better scores in the written paper, particularly the comprehension passage which I need to improve on.
I LOVE SINGAPOREEE!
Wee Singapore's 43 years old:) ILOVESINGAPORE! Celebrations on Friday were pretty fun:) It seemed like a mini NDP: mini air shows and the way Mr Tan walked with the parade commander down the rows in the squad (the way Mr president does during the actual thing) Best part's that our class won the mascott competition-yay! Gooooo Yana, Joyce and Dhivya! The singing part in the hall became uber fun when our class started the tag-along-train which many people joined along the way and we went all around the hall! My red ribbon fell out while we were jumping&singing with one of the songs-amazingly it disappeared and appeared again later (walking ribbon)! My all time favourite national day song- HOME was the best! 08/08/08 was a really memorable day, so to make it even better, Lay Tian and I made last minute plans to meet up with our PAE clique! It was successful, and fun! Unfortunately, Lynne couldn't make it:(there's always time after promos:)
The IJ clique:)) Unintentional to take an IJ clique photo! Just realised everyone in here was an IJ girl after I saw the picture!
The best class!08S3 singing time:)

She's jacking me wayyy too much these days. :( Mindy, bio buddy, STOP LEARNING to be naughty from her k! Stop all your sharifah sharifah or you'll get a nice bashing from me in time to come.

Um I'm kinda bored, now that prelims are over. Sharmaine was right, it's like, we've got nothing to do now. Haha. Oh well! I was arm-wrestling my siblings just now. My brudder acts so tough and all, know what ; I defeated him in a mere moment. Asha - omg?! Wth is wrong with you? I didn't even use any force and she was all "Aah!! Omg!" Hahah. She said I'm not not just pushing her arm down, but her whole body. Lol. LOSERS. Now Asha is arm-wrestling my brudder. My dad told him to arm-wrestle someone his own size, hah. I don't know why they even bother, anorexic freaks. It's so funny watching them. OH MUMMY PLEASE FEED YOUR KIDS MORE FOOD?!
And for the best part of the day: We won FIRST prize for the best decorated booth award:))

Man I can't wait for Os to be over. Then I can resume karate lessons. I just realised that I sort of miss karate. Although the instructor used to torture us and make ME do push-ups for a stupid reason like LAUGHING. -_- I wonder how long it'll take before I get my black belt. Grr. On the bright side, I'm two belts ahead of Anirudh! Heh.
Before any of that, prelims OMG. English, E & A Math P 1, SS, Geog, Chemistry P1 - OVER! Bio P1 & 2, Chemistry P2, A & E Math P2 TO GO //
